Rooted in three generations of tea heritage, we combine tradition with innovation to deliver authentic, sustainably sourced teas from Sri Lanka’s finest tea-growing regions.
Our story began in the early 20th century, when our family established and nurtured a tea plantation in Sri Lanka during the era of British Ceylon. Generations of knowledge and craftsmanship have since shaped our unwavering commitment to quality and authenticity.

Dimuthu Liyanage is a Co-founder of Tea Legacy Pvt Ltd, with extensive expertise spanning both the tea industry and renewable energy sector. Drawing on generations of family heritage in Sri Lanka’s tea trade, he possesses comprehensive knowledge of the entire tea value chain, from plantation management and cultivation to manufacturing, processing, tea tasting, quality assurance, product development, branding and global exports. His passion for authentic Ceylon tea has been instrumental in developing a premium tea brand and expanding international market opportunities. In parallel, Dimuthu has significant experience in renewable energy development, project management, and operational strategy, contributing to sustainable power initiatives. His strategic leadership, entrepreneurial vision and commitment to excellence continue to drive innovation, sustainable growth and long-term value creation across both industries.
Indunil Liyanage is a Co-Founder of Tea Legacy Pvt Ltd, with over 25 years of experience in the global tea industry. Holding an MBA in International Business, she brings expertise in tea tasting, botanical blending, cultivation and processing, ethical sourcing, ESG and compliance systems, supply chain management, brand development, and product innovation. Her career began at the age of 19 as a trainee tea taster in Sri Lanka, complemented by hands-on training in family-owned tea estates and manufacturing facilities specializing in premium tea production. Having worked with leading global tea brands, she combines deep industry knowledge with a strong commitment to quality, sustainability, branding and responsible sourcing. Through Tea Legacy, she develops premium tea and herbal brands for international markets.

Kushan Atapattu
Kushan Atapattu is a seasoned business and marketing leader with over 25 years of experience in strategic marketing, branding, corporate communications, partnerships, sales and business development across telecommunications, financial services and FMCG sectors. As a Director of Tea Legacy Pvt Ltd and CEO of Purest Range Pty Ltd, Australia, he leads marketing, public relations and business development initiatives across international operations while driving the growth of a vertically integrated specialty tea business dedicated to authentic, single-origin Ceylon tea. Previously, Kushan led Enterprise for Dialog Axiata PLC and served as Senior Vice President of the Sri Lanka–Malaysia Business Council, fostering strategic partnerships and trade relations. He is also an Executive Member of the Jayantha Premachandra Foundation, supporting cultural exchange and international engagement.
